Good post on tea! There are so many medicinal properties for tea, but as you say, it is provided by word of mouth. As you have experienced in China, I think in general Asians always like to talk about health benefits, not only for tea, but for anything! This is good for you, this is bad for you, don’t eat this when you are coughing or eat that when you have a sore tummy. Everyone seems to be some kind of doctor. But, as we know we all pass these things down to the next generation. Now, I wish I wrote things down when my relatives passed down information. When you remember, can you jot down some of these “traditions and sayings” and post them. That will be a fun read! ]]>
